I-CERV Spring Food Drive
Nourishing Networks recently sponsored and advertised an anticipated huge food drive from I-CERV (Ismaili Community Engaged in Responsible Volunteering). This drive helps to benefit the local school districts of Bellevue, Lake Washington, and Northshore, where everyone participates by bringing boxed items of food and other necessities that will redirect back to those in need. Some members of the Kirkland Police Department also stopped by to lend a hand for the cause.
We are happy to report that the efforts of the nearby communities were beyond what was expected; 12,000 pounds of food was delivered in one day to the dropoff location! A huge thank you to all the sponsor cities and organizations who came together to make this event a wonderful opportunity to help feed families in the Bellevue area.
We cannot stress this enough when we say that coming together as a community helps to benefit those who need our help. We are all in this together, and more food events like this will bring us one step closer to making sure nobody goes hungry.
