Sound Transit Seeks Volunteers for Community Oversight Panel
Sound Transit is seeking volunteers from Snohomish, North King, East King, and South King counties to serve on its Community Oversight Panel. The 15-member panel reviews Sound Transit’s performance in planning, building, and operating transit projects and reports findings to the Sound Transit Board. Applicants should have relevant experience, be able to attend monthly evening meetings, and live or work in an eligible subarea. Diverse perspectives are encouraged to apply. Communities Rise: Free CLE for Attorneys on Feb 25, 2026: Protecting Small Businesses & Nonprofits from Immigration Audits and Form I-9 Compliance Risks
Communities Rise is seeking volunteer attorneys who are willing to advise clients on Form I-9 compliance issues before an audit takes place. This session is intended for attorneys who have no experience advising clients on Form I-9 issues and who wish to learn how to protect small businesses and nonprofits the federal government's crackdown against immigrants. Form I-9 is the instrument by which employers document their compliance with federal immigration laws (IRCA/INA), which restrict who may be lawfully employed in the United States. American Cancer Society Relaunches Volunteer Driver Program
After pausing the Road To Recovery program due to public health concerns during the pandemic, The American Cancer Society (ACS) is relaunching their volunteer driver program. Patients can access the program either through the mobile-friendly website or an app that will allow them to submit ride requests and see real time notifications. Patients who lack access to technology or who prefer to connect via phone can still call 1-800-227-2345 to schedule rides to treatment. ACS is seeking volunteer drivers to support this program.
