Issaquah Give Help Gift Opportunities
Eastside Friends of Seniors Gift Baskets
Many of our clients are low-income and sometimes all alone for the holidays. EFS, with the help of our community, is once again creating holiday gift bags. This year we’re hoping to also provide 85 care packages to a low-income apartment complex for older adults in downtown Issaquah.
Friends of Echo Glen: Christmas Gifts for the Residents
We will once again be demonstrating to the youth that we as a community love and care about them through Christmas stockings and gifts for every young person, plus games and activities for their living unit. Click HERE if you would like to participate. Rachel will also be putting together stockings for all staff who work with the kids on Christmas.
Friends of Youth: Giving Tree
Every year before the Holidays, young people request items that would them achieve their goals and bring them some holiday joy! We add the gifts that young people request to our Amazon Wishlist, as well as handwritten tags distributed to businesses, and coordinate with all of you. You purchase the gifts, and get them to us. We sort and match them, and deliver the gifts to the young people that requested them. We are still accepting gifts from our Amazon registry or check out tags at Redmond Town Center, University Village (UVillage), or our offices in Kirkland (13116 NE 132nd St.). Birthday Dreams provides a dream birthday to homeless children ages 1 to 18 years. We partner with over 80 shelters in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. Some hold hosted group parties where our volunteers throw the party and some hold non-hosted group parties. Birthday Dreams relies on community support to achieve our mission and make a difference in the life of a child – one birthday at a time.

Donate a store-bought cake so a youth to celebrate their birthday with their cottage mates. You'll be demonstrating that the community cares and sometimes the cakes we bring are the first they've ever received. With 14 birthdays in June alone, the kitchen staff can't keep up with making all the needed cakes. Questions? email info@echoglen.org
KidVantage
Birthday Drives: Birthdays are important because it's an opportunity for a child to develop a sense of identity and a feeling of self-worth, as they feel recognized and valued for who they are and their growth over the years. For a family struggling to pay rent, put meals on the table, or afford diapers, birthday gifts aren't going to be a priority. KidVantage wants all kids to experience the joys of celebrating their birthday, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP. This summer we're hosting our Birthday Buddies drives, where you can collect new toys and give parents and caregivers a chance to celebrate their children on their special day! If you'd like to host, visit our website to sign-up! www.kidvantagenw.org/organize-a-drive
