Fundraising & Outreach Events for Local Nonprofits
The Garage - Immediate Need For Support
You may have heard - in the latest state budget, Governor Ferguson vetoed $25 million meant for small nonprofits and community studies. The Garage lost $300,000 - funding we were counting on over the next two years. For small nonprofits like ours, the impact is immediate - and painful. But it’s the teens who feel it most. LGBTQIA2S+ youth, BIPOC teens, and newly immigrated young people are already navigating a world filled with fear and instability. Did you know that all events & activities, services, food, and drinks at The Garage are free of charge? And in addition to teen-led events and activities, we also have free Licensed Mental Health Therapy and Case Management Services? If you've ever believed in creating space for young people to be safe, to be seen, and to belong, this is a call to action. Every dollar helps us stay open, strong, and equitable—for every teen who needs us.
The Circle: Immediate Need For Support
We are sharing a message rooted in both unity and urgency - due to a recent and significant loss in state funding, we now face an urgent need; we must raise $100,000 to continue providing essential services At The Circle, we believe that when one of us faces hardship, we all do. Many of our neighbors are living in fear—fear of sending their children to school, going to work, walking outside, fulfilling civic duties, or simply speaking their native language in public. These challenges weigh heavily on all of us who care deeply about justice, safety, and belonging. The Circle welcomed over 700 community members seeking support in the first three months of 2025. For many, we are a trusted place to ask questions, pursue education, and begin to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. I am sharing our 2024 Impact Report and 2025 Update: And if you can, please donate.
Do you love the work that we do? If so, please consider donating while you shop at Fred Meyer! We are now part of the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program. This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations as The Circle based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to The Issaquah Cultural Circle [dba The Circle], organization number SK522, all you have to do is shop at Fred Meyer and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Learn more HERE
Eastside Friends of Seniors: Autumn Hearts Campaign
Join us to celebrate International Day of Older Persons on October 1st. This year’s theme—Empowering Older Adult Voices for an Inclusive Future—calls for a future where older adults are valued and welcomed, ageism is addressed, and connections of care and support are strengthened. At Eastside Friends of Seniors, we know that older adults are the heart of our community—their resilience, stories, and contributions inspire us every day. I'm excited to announce that the first $7,500 raised during the Autumn Hearts Campaign will be doubled thanks to a generous matching fund from the EFS Board of Directors. Treehouse: Tour and Connect Oct 22, 2025
We’re facing one of the most significant challenges in our history. Earlier this year the Washington State Legislature eliminated $7.46 million of Treehouse’s state funding. We were just one of many organizations impacted by devastating funding cuts that threaten essential services for our most marginalized and vulnerable youth. Despite the loss of nearly one-third of our budget, Treehouse remains firm in our commitment to young people and laser focused on our strategic goal: Young people in foster care will complete high school at the same rate as their peers, prepared to implement their post–high school plan. Please join us on October 22 for an interactive tour, snacks and conversation about where Treehouse is going and how you can be involved. You'll have an opportunity to connect with Treehouse staff and other supporters. It's a small casual event and a great chance to see your gift in action! Please bring a friend!
