King County Children and Youth Advisory Board Seeking Volunteers Apply By March 31, 2025
The King County Children and Youth Advisory Board (CYAB) is seeking individuals interested in serving on the CYAB for a three-year term beginning late spring 2025. The CYAB serves as the oversight and advisory body for the Best Starts for Kids Initiative, the King County Youth Action Plan, and the Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account (PSTAA). The CYAB has a strong commitment to equity and intentionally seeks to maintain balanced representation of board members who reflect all communities we serve. Individuals residing in King County, especially those who live in King County District 6 and 3, those who identify as Native America/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander, LGBTQ, residents from rural areas of King County, seniors, and youth 24 years of age or younger are encouraged to apply. Eastside For All: Safe Haven Cafecitos Meeting April 16, 2025
We’re excited to keep bringing together our growing Safe Haven community of providers, advocates, and supporters! Cafecitos is a gathering created by the Safe Haven group, an informal network formed in 2019 that has been involved in advocacy efforts with local school districts and cities to address language justice, cultural supports, and equitable access to opportunities for youth and families.

HELP FOR MIGRANTS AND ASYLUM-SEEKERS Services available through June 30, 2025
The newly launched the Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seekers Support project is designed to meet the basic needs of people who have recently arrived in the United States and Washington state but are ineligible for federal refugee services. Participants may be eligible for housing support, immigration-related legal services, and culturally responsive case management. Participants are also connected to medical, education, and job-training resources that are available in the community. TO APPLY: Complete and submit the Client Request for Eligibility Screening. Outdoors For All Foundation: Now at Lake Sammamish State Park!
This new location is a huge step in expanding adaptive recreation opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy the great outdoors and we are thrilled to be on the Eastside. Daily through Sept. 30 (with limited operation in October) and starting back up next May, the popular state park and Outdoors for All will offer more opportunities to ride and paddle for people with disabilities. As the first Eastside branch, the site will provide for cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding and summer day camp

Starting in November 2024, we’ll be holding weekly office hours. King County Coalition Against Hate and Bias To anonymously report hate and bias incidents
Hate and bias incidents against Asian Americans have risen since the emergence of the coronavirus. To provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support for the community, CISC and its Coalition partners are administrators of the Hate and Bias Incident Response Survey to collect data from communities affected by hate and bias. No personal or identifying information is shared with OESJ or any governing body, nor collected in the administration of the Coalition’s survey. The Circle: Community Navigation
The Circle provides a safe space where individuals and families come together to learn, celebrate, and contribute boldly to their communities. We welcome and help individuals and families to get the resources that they need and to become active community members while building cultural competence. We offer community navigation services, events, and educational workshops.
Inclusive Circle: This circle is for kids of all abilities. Every 2nd Thursday of the month from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in Issaquah
Giving Circle: This is a program where neighbors help neighbors with clothing, furniture, household items, etc. If you are in need of help, send us an email to contact@thecircle-wa.org. And if you would like to help a neighbor, visit the Sign Up page here.
Latino Circle: This is a circle for anyone who is interested to create events to celebrate Latino traditions. For more information, visit their Facebook page
Heritage Playgroups: Come to meet other parents, make music, and play with your children. The Circle offers English, Spanish, Russian and Indian Heritage playgroups.

Eastside Pathways All-Partner Meeting: March 25, 2025 9am - 3pm. The 2025 All Partner Meeting will bring together Eastside Pathways partners and community leaders to focus on our shared responsibility to address barriers to educational justice and well-being for children and youth. The event will provide updates on Eastside Pathways’ plan for fostering equitable opportunities for all children, youth, and families by amplifying the work of organizations and individuals committed to systemic change. Together, we will reflect on the impact of the Partnership, provide community-level updates, and strategize on our collective commitment to reducing harm and increasing equity for all.

The Data Council are group of individuals from partner organizations with demonstrated experience or expertise in measurement, evaluation, data analysis, data science, or continuous improvement. Eastside Pathways Parent/Caregiver Council: Eastside Pathways’ Parent Caregiver Council is planned to be launched in May, with a mixer in April for those interested. This Council aims to have representation from parent and caregiver leadership in East King County. Engaging parents and caregivers as consultants and advocates for our children and youth in co-designing solutions and decision-making process to improve outcomes, reduce harm and increase equity every step of the way. IACS follows a model of community outreach that makes taking part in community activities accessible for members who live in various cities across the Pacific Northwest.
