WA Dept of Commerce: Climate Action Planning Webinar Mon, April 28 at 2pm Online

The goal of the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) is to create an actionable, equitable, and comprehensive plan to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This webinar is designed to share progress on statewide climate planning efforts. The creation of the CCAP will include tribes, state and local governments, subject matter experts and the public, especially those in communities that are most impacted by climate change. This meeting will be held April 28th 2-3:30 PM and is geared toward the general public and those who are interested in learning more about the progress of Washington’s CCAP. Register

Cultural Bridges: Learn More About Two of Issaquah’s Nonprofits Serving The Community

The Circle is a non-profit in Issaquah that supports immigrants and families in needs in our community. Learn more about what The Circle does to help empower people to gain knowledge about their new community and celebrate the cultures people come from.

The Garage is a safe space for teens to hang out with friends, get a coffee and a snack, play a game, play music, watch TV, plan an event, and much more.

HELP FOR MIGRANTS AND ASYLUM-SEEKERS  Services available through June 30, 2025 

The newly launched the Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seekers Support project is designed to meet the basic needs of people who have recently arrived in the United States and Washington state but are ineligible for federal refugee services. Outdoors For All Foundation: Now at Lake Sammamish State Park! 

This new location is a huge step in expanding adaptive recreation opportunities for people of all abilities to enjoy the great outdoors and we are thrilled to be on the Eastside.  Daily through Sept. 30 (with limited operation in October) and starting back up next May, the popular state park and Outdoors for All will offer more opportunities to ride and paddle for people with disabilities. As the first Eastside branch, the site will provide for cycling, kayaking, paddleboarding and summer day camp

King County Coalition Against Hate and Bias To anonymously report hate and bias incidents

Hate and bias incidents against Asian Americans have risen since the emergence of the coronavirus. To provide culturally and linguistically appropriate support for the community, CISC and its Coalition partners are administrators of the Hate and Bias Incident Response Survey to collect data from communities affected by hate and bias. No personal or identifying information is shared with OESJ or any governing body, nor collected in the administration of the Coalition’s survey. The Circle: Community Navigation

The Circle provides a safe space where individuals and families come together to learn, celebrate, and contribute boldly to their communities. We welcome and help individuals and families to get the resources that they need and to become active community members while building cultural competence. We offer community navigation services, events, and educational workshops.

Lambert House

Lambert House has ongoing programs 7 days a week on 5 different platforms. Upcoming events include a discussion of the Americans with Disabilities Act and intersectionality with LGBTQ rights), Coming Out, and an LGBTQ joint book club event with KCLS teens. Cultural Bridges

is a program of Issaquah Schools Foundation that helps build relationships between families from diverse cultures and languages, their children, the ISD, and the broader Issaquah community through outreach, events, mentoring, translation services and a magazine published in 7 languages.

Cultural Bridges Number 27, English Edition: Some topics include ISF Academic Enrichment Grants, School Safety and Security, High School and Beyond Plan, World Language Class, School Attendance Policy, Student Volunteer Opportunities, and Issaquah Food Bank Summer Program, etc.

King County Library System:

Language Interpreters: Get an interpreter in your language for library service. American Sign Language is available at some locations. Ask staff for Language Line, a company that provides interpreters by phone and online. When you call the library, you can talk with an interpreter by phone.  When you visit the library, you can talk or sign with an interpreter by video or audio on an app. Or, you can talk with an interpreter by phone.

Eastside Pathways All-Partner Meeting: March 25, 2025 9am - 3pm. The 2025 All Partner Meeting will bring together Eastside Pathways partners and community leaders to focus on our shared responsibility to address barriers to educational justice and well-being for children and youth. The event will provide updates on Eastside Pathways’ plan for fostering equitable opportunities for all children, youth, and families by amplifying the work of organizations and individuals committed to systemic change. Together, we will reflect on the impact of the Partnership, provide community-level updates, and strategize on our collective commitment to reducing harm and increasing equity for all.

 Eastside Pathways Data Council: Eastside Pathways is looking for Data Council members! The Data Council are group of individuals from partner organizations with demonstrated experience or expertise in measurement, evaluation, data analysis, data science, or continuous improvement.  Eastside Pathways Communications Council: Eastside Pathways is starting a Communications Council and are looking for members that are interested in joining. You don’t need to have a communications background to participate, just can have an affinity/interest in marketing/communications would be helpful!  Eastside Pathways Parent/Caregiver Council: Eastside Pathways’ Parent Caregiver Council is planned to be launched in May, with a mixer in April for those interested. This Council aims to have representation from parent and caregiver leadership in East King County. Engaging parents and caregivers as consultants and advocates for our children and youth in co-designing solutions and decision-making process to improve outcomes, reduce harm and increase equity every step of the way. Indian American Community Services: Pop-Up Community Centers @ Beaver Lake Lodge, Sammamish

IACS follows a model of community outreach that makes taking part in community activities accessible for members who live in various cities across the Pacific Northwest. Our pop-up centers are conveniently located in various community centers including Issaquah, Kent, Snoqualmie, Bothell, Redmond, North Bellevue and Northshore. These centers not only allow community members to better connect with each other but also opens up connection with other communities as well who may share the same space.
