King County Veterans Program (KCVP)

To support our community members during the COVID-19 crises, the King County Veterans Program (KCVP), supported with Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy (VSHSL) funds, is now offering housing stabilization assistance for veterans and their family members who have been affected by COVID-19.  Available funds will help support veterans and their families who have fallen behind on housing costs, including both rent and mortgage costs.   Funds received by veterans and their families will be based on documented amounts owed with a maximum award of $1,500.  Veterans who have received rental or mortgage assistance from KCVP in the past 12 months for reasons other than impacts of COVID-19 may also be eligible for COVID-19 housing stabilization funds.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) has funds to provide financial assistance to eligible Veterans at risk of experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 outbreak. Veterans must meet the following criteria and be able to provide verification to qualify for assistance.  Flyer here

KCVP staff provide a physical presence each week at the Maple Valley Food Bank, the Auburn Senior Center and the Auburn Veterans of Foreign Wars. KCVP staff are out in communities (following safe social distancing guidelines), meeting veterans where they are, to connect veterans to services who might not otherwise know that help is available.
