Northshore: UW Bothell & Cascadia College

Cascadia College and the University of Washington, Bothell, share a modern campus here in Northshore, and both are committed to helping students - many of whom work while earning their degree - with basic food needs. “Do I buy textbooks or food?” is a choice facing many of the students these days, and fortunately there are resources to help.

  • For currently enrolled Cascadia students, the Kodiak Cave offers a varied selection of non-perishable food, along with bread and dairy products. For shopping hours and other information go to http://www.cascadia.edu/studentlife/kodiak_cave.aspx While you’re there, be sure to check out the easy step-by step recipes (smell-o-vision would be terrific here!) and other videos by clicking on the ‘blog’ tab. The Kodiak Cave welcomes donations from the community to help keep its shelves well-stocked, so for information on how to contribute please contact kijones@cascadia.edu

  • UW Bothell students (resident and non-resident) who need extra food help can access the Husky Pantry. Hours may vary, so please check https://www.uwb.edu/studentaffairs/resources/husky-pantry ahead of time. Donations to the Husky Pantry are always welcome. Contact hawrc@uw.edu for drop off times and location.
